DARC Ethiophile Chronicles
On this day
10th of April in 1968 a civilian rights bill was passed banning racial discrimination in the sale or rental of most of the nation’s housing. About 80% of the housing market at that time. Even though 102 years prior the Civil rights bill giving Blacks "the same right, in every State and Territory, as is enjoyed by white citizens", was passed, Blacks still struggled for equality in every crevice of the socio-economical system of America. Still today, the struggle for equal rights and justice continues. The deeds of many civil rights leaders are written in history and much of the freedom of Blacks is due to their martyrship.
