On 21st of April 2003 Nina Simone transitioned into the realm of the ancestors. The civil rights activist was a renown musician. most notable for her bold piano and voice notes.

Born Eunice Kathleen Waymon on February 21, 1933 to a preacher family in North Carolina, she early aspired to be a master pianist. In the 60's she became invovled with the civil rights movement. Simone's music was highly influential in the fight for equal rights in the United States.
