ARTGANIC is a group of musicians who came together in 1993. They saw the need to spread the message of roots, culture, and oneness through reggae. Their goal is to feed the nation with spiritual food for their mental upliftment through conscious lyrics.

 Over the years, ARTGANIC has worked with various well known artists, such as: Everton Blender, Ras Shiloah, Midnite, Wailing Souls, Sister Carol, Johnny Osbourne, Yami Bolo, Bigger Haitian, Pey Dalid and the Abassyians just to name a few. The group has performed in several different venues in the tri-state including: S. O. B’s, Lion’s Den, Café Tango, The Hook, Tracks Café, Medgar Evers College Kwanza Celebration, The Brooklyn Children’s Museum, International African Arts Festival, Sullivan Hall, the Yam, Roots, Jerk Festival, and JahFest 2009.

 The vision of Ras Carl, Lawrence, and I-Joe lead them to form the group in 1993. ARTGANIC offers its listeners versatility with the talent of its four lead vocalists combined with the instrumental musicians’ years of experience.

Ras I-Joe (Lead Vocalist/Harmony/Songwriter) will open your eyes to the events of the world through his conscious lyrics. His 1stsingle called, “A Song” pays tribute to all Rasta princesses, and is available in many local records stores. Queen Takiyah (Chanter/Sing-jayer/Songwriter) will take you on a musical journey into the roots and culture of life with her charismatic style. Her single release called, “Ithiopia” is an audience favorite. Brother Maki the group’s Music Director is also the lead guitarist, he brings over 20 years experience in the business to the group. Brother Dave keeps the music bubbling with his bouncing baselines. Brother I-Brown the group’s own Augustus Pablo shows his versatility giving us his melodic sounds on the Melodica while providing harmony. Empress Idama Singer/Songwriter/Harmony) brings a spiritual flavor to the group with song of praises. Her single Jah Fari is an audience pleaser. Brother I-Pro the group’s percussionist brings the heartbeat of Africa to life on the kete drum. Brother Peter the group’s keyboardists keep the group on track. Brother Glen keeps you hooked with the vibrant sounds of the drums.
